Hawks Over Tubac

Where and When to Watch

Where and When to Watch

Every March many species, including Common Black, Zone-tailed, and Gray Hawks, migrate north  along the Santa Cruz River.  These hawks can be seen in limited areas of the USA. Tubac is said to be the easiest and most likely place to see these species.  Join us for the March Hawk Watch!

What to Bring

Binoculars, water, sunscreen, lawn chair and a hat will add to your comfort.  A good dose of patience is helpful since the hawks are in charge and are not predictable.
